Name: Johnny Jump Up
Brief Blurb: As a member of the Corner Boys when they disbanded, Duncan Mitchell decided to continue the Irish, Celtic and folk themes that he'd enjoyed with the band but pursue a more contemporary, upbeat feel to the music, much like some of the bands that he'd been listening to at the time such as the Pogues, Saw Doctors and Gaelic Storm. Together with Mark Harland, Amanda Dallas and Tom Kidd, the band has played a number of venues and events in Brisbane and the Darling Downs since their inception in 2004, with more recent regular appearances at Irish Murphy’s in the city as part of their Craic’n Sunday afternoon sessions
