The BUgEtte
The BUgEtte is a fresh new venture from Brisbane Unplugged Gigs Inc, created to champion acoustic-style live music and connect with a younger, more dynamic audience. We're all about growing Brisbane’s underground acoustic scene — creating a safe, vibrant space where creatives can connect, celebrate each other, and maybe even jump into a session or two.
2nd Thursdays of the month, The End Bar in West End - 2 feature acts plus blackboard
THE FORMAT
The format for the evening is similiar to The BUg (New Farm):
6.30pm - doors open (bar is actually open from 4pm)
7pm - Dead Song Society, hosted by Bec Hoole (AKA indie artist Pipin), is a bold new community-singing project inspired by the spirit of Dead Poets Society, celebrating creativity, connection and joyful rebellion. Gather to sing fun, quirky songs, embrace your inner mischief-maker, and discover the freedom that comes from raising voices together. Carpe cantum - seize the song!
7.45pm - first featured act
8.45pm - second featured act
Host: Elyse Fitzpatrick from The Salty Sirens
THE VENUE
The venue is The End Bar, 73 Vulture Street, West End - gig home of The Salty Sirens. They will also be the hosts generally for the evenings. The End is a laid-back bar in West End, known for its craft beers and cocktails. Its industrial-chic vibe is softened by lush greenery, vintage leather couches, a layered timber bar, and quirky nods to its past life.
