Name: Katouche
Brief Blurb: Katouche are best described as "acappella-ish"— they combine a cappella harmonies with double bass. Having performed at the Powerhouse, Judith Wright Centre, Spiegeltent, Madass Folk Club, 2010 Neurum Creek Festival, they were again welcomed back to the 2010/11 Woodford Folk Festival. Katouche’s repertoire reflects the diverse backgrounds within the group, covering a mix of genres including world music, pop, funk, folk, jazz and original compositions. Rosalind, Juliet, Erin and Rick create gorgeous harmonies, and then add a little something extra. You can check out snippets of their set from Woodford Folk Festival on their myspace site: http://www.myspace.com/katoucheacappella
