Name: Wheatley & The Undergarments
Brief Blurb: The members of Wheatley and the Undergarments all have associations with Kedron high school. It formed around well-known polymath and science teacher Jim Wheatley and got its name in a whimsical moment when a student developed a Myspace page for his favourite physics teacher. The band plays a wide selection of songs and tunes including traditional and modern Australian ballads, Irish/Scottish jigs and reels and bluegrass. It comprises Jim Wheatley (vamping it up on button accordion), Steve Hutchins (guitar and vocals), Helen Greentree and John Hayes (both on violin), Kaye Thomas (tin whistle) and Dave Burton (guitar and vocals).
