Name: Caroline Stalker and Allan Reilly
Brief Blurb: Caro and Allan play a range of mostly original songs textured with strong guitar riffs, rich piano and jazz/pop vocals. Caro played in bands around Brisbane in the 1980s, including one with Allan (The Stinsons), heading overseas in the 90s pursuing an architectural career. Allan played with more high profile bands in the 70s, notably as guitarist for The Riptides, also heading overseas in the name of architecture, but keeping the musical connection while playing bass for Tiny Town in the UK. Our shared history of Brisbands influences what we write and how we play these days - indie pop/rock with some jazz/funk thrown in if labels are useful (which they often aren't!). In the late 90s Caro married drummer Bruce Carrick, they have shared a song writing and recording project for some years, entitled Fear of Averages. Fear of Averages' debut CD is soon to be released, for details check out the website www.fearofaverages.com. Allan continues to play with a number of bands, including the odd party gig. The Muddy Farmer gig features Caro on guitar, vocals and piano, and Allan on lead guitar for an 'unplugged' take on new and familiar songs.
