Name: Sue Wighton and Mary Brettell
Brief Blurb:

Sue Wighton and Mary Brettell– singing up a storm (not a weather event).

DISCLAIMER: If you’re easily offended by political incorrectness, perhaps stay home and re-arrange your sock drawer.

Sue Wighton and Mary Brettell have been around the Brisbane folk scene for longer than either of them care to remember. Both Sue and Mary have sung in bands and solo, drawing on the folk, country and blues traditions for their material.

Both these artists are bemused by the rise of so-called political correctness in music. What got Sue and Mary fired up was the recent furore about the forties Frank Loesser classic ‘Baby it’s cold outside’. They decided to put together a set of songs of questionable taste for your enjoyment. They’ll be poking fun at religion, sexual stereotypes and anything else that takes their fancy.

PC or non PC …you decide!
