Brief Blurb: Traditional & Modern Blues, Rock, Roots, Surf, Acoustic Electric Slide Guitar, Vocals

Tim Gaze has enjoyed a long career as one of Australia's pre-eminent guitar player / vocalists. He formed his first band in 1966 when he was 13 years old. By the time he was 15, he was playing professionally in one of Australia's first progressive blues surf rock bands, Tamam Shud. Since that early start, Tim has had a diversified career, here and overseas, both recording and working ‘live’ with artists Jimmy Barnes, Jon Lord, (Deep Purple), Bob Daisley (Ozzie Osbourne, Rainbow etc), Russell Morris, Brian Cadd, Gyan, Stevie Wright, Rob Grosser, Renee Geyer, Doc Span, Peter Howe (Morning Of The Earth), and more recently with ‘The Fabulous Green Machine’, featuring Noosa mayor Bob Abbott, and Tim’s own bands, GGC Blues Experience, and The OUTRO.

Tim has also played the major music festivals in Australia, including the main Entertainment Centres in Australia, The East Coast Blues and Roots Festival, The Sydney Opera House, Goulburn Blues Festival, The National Folk Festival Canberra, Port Fairy Folk Festival, The Gympie Music Muster, Qld., The Blue Mountains Folk Festival, The Annual Brisbane Blues Festival, The Brisbane Jazz and Blues Festival, and Blues on Broadbeach.

Tim is a busy session musician and has performed with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra at Riverfest as special guest guitar player for Surf’n’Symphony. Besides still playing with band line-ups and performing solo shows, Tim also teaches guitar professionally.

Awards: *Single of the Year – Aria. *Chain Award – Vocalist Of The Year, 2007. *Winner – International Surf Film Soundtrack – St.John De Luz, 2008. *Voted 14 out of 25 Best All Time Aussie Guitarists 2011 readers poll – Australian Guitarist Magazine.
