Brief Blurb: After recently opening for Kenny Barron Trio and receiving rave reviews, Elly Hoyt & Jamie Clark join together to perform an intimate concert: Here & Now. It will include original compositions exploring their journey through music and songs that have inspired them to become who they are today. Expect soulful delivery; toe tapping fun and a few surprises. We hope to see you there!

Elly Hoyt bio: Elly Hoyt is an award winning jazz and contemporary vocalist. She has appeared at venues and festivals in Australia and abroad including the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Queensland Music Festival, National Live Music Awards, Bennetts Lane Jazz Club, Shanghai World Expo in China and the 55 bar in New York City to name a few. In 2011, Elly won Best Australian Jazz Vocal Album at the coveted “Bell Awards” and has recently launched a folk band called, My Nightingale. She is an active educator lecturing in jazz voice at JMI and Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University.

Jamie Clark Bio: Jamie has appeared at various festivals including The Wangaratta Festival of Jazz, The Woodford Folk Festival, The Brisbane Festival, The Manly Jazz Festival (Sydney), CMAA Bluegrass Flatpicking Champion in 2011 and described as “a cracking guitarist” by Rolling Stone Magazine.
