Name: The Wighton Family
Brief Blurb: The Wighton family love to sing and entertain.

Sue Wighton is a Brisbane-based singer/songwriter with a wealth of musical experience from her time at the iconic Folk Centre to the Brisbane Jazz Club and beyond.

Brother Chris is based in Cairns and is a well-known troubadour of the north, singing his songs of place at festivals and local venues.

Katie Wighton (Sue’s daughter) is a beautiful singer-songwriter and one quarter of the fabulous acoustic outfit ‘All Our Exes Live in Texas’. Katie and her musical sisters have been wowing audiences around Australia as they tour their new album.

Sue, Chris and brother Steve grew up harmonising with Mum and Dad (Elsie and Jack) around the kitchen table at Geebung and in the car on weekend trips to visit Mater Homes. The singing hasn’t stopped – with Jack still going strong and Steve and his daughters joining the throng.

Come along and experience the humour, warmth and sheer musicality of the Wightons.

‘We’re Geebung’s answer to the Von Trapps!’

Sue
