Name: Jeff Burton
Brief Blurb: Jeff Burton is a stylish entertainer with many years experience in the music industry. Jeff plays across a range of genres but concentrates folk originals. He plays acoustic guitar, 12 string guitar, banjo and ukulele, all to a high level of virtuosity. His vocal style is warm and well controlled. Think Pete Seeger. Over his long career, Jeff has played events at Her Majesty's Theatre in Brisbane, the Brisbane Jazz Club and Mayne Hall at the University of Queensland. Jeff's YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/simpletunes2, has had over a million views and over ten thousand subscribers with his instructional ukulele videos recording hundreds of thousands of 'hits'. With three CD's to his credit, both available on iTunes and CD Baby, Jeff has developed a dedicated international fan base, https://itunes.apple.com/au/artist/jeff-burton/id475338085. As a songwriter, he has had considerable commercial success, writing for Slim Dusty's double platinum album 'Looking Forward, Looking Back', as well as numerous independent artists. The song he wrote with Michael Fix, 'Memories and Dreams', was nominated for a People's Choice Award at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. Jeff's song, 'Blame it on the Moon', was a finalist in the Best Jazz Song category at the Northern Rivers Dolphin Awards. He has developed a warm friendship and co-writing relationship with American grammy award winning songwriter, Carrie Newcomer. Jeff is an author, with two published books of poetry and short fiction to his credit, both available on Amazon: 'Do not read this book' and 'Caboodle'.
