Name: Steve Dorahy and the Volunteers
Brief Blurb: Steve is back with his faithful, brave and unselfish band of volunteers to perform both new and established original material. The genre is Steve's own creation, labelled 'urban roots' by Jan Wenner , not Rolling Stone magazine's Jan Wenner , but Jan Wenner the auto electrician from Tarragindi. The 'volunteers' are : Les Dorahy on accordion, Al Hughes, mandolins and guitar, Rachel Witney Lacey fiddle, Julie Witney on bass, Keith (Keef) Megson on drums and Mary Brettell who as well as providing backing vocals and some rhythm guitar work, will be performing 'Resuscitation Blues' , a tune Steve penned for her after a rather traumatic episode in her backyard earlier in the year. Come along for some music and humour!
