Name: The View From Madeleines Couch
Brief Blurb:

This year marks the band's 21st anniversary as one of Australia's most celebrated Brazilian ensembles, and there's still no other band in the country that sounds like this! Their mix of beautiful original songs, inspired by the rhythms and harmonies of Brazil, blend perfectly with the eclectic repertoire of bossa nova, samba and Brazilian jazz that the band has performed at festivals and venues across Australia and Brazil for over two decades. The band has recently released their brand new album Bossa Nova Sunset Club, featuring legendary Brazilian drummer Marcio Bahia, and will showcase some of the songs from the album, as well as playing some old favourites.

"Bossa Nova Sunset Club is a landmark album, and a significant contribution to the history of Brazilian-influenced music in Australia" - Mike Ryan, Founder/Director, Triboz, Centro Cultural Brasil-Australia.

Anje West: voice/percussion, Kym Ambrose: vibes, OJ Newcomb: bass, Lachlan Hawkins: drums.
