Name: Penny Boys Band
Brief Blurb:

Penny's Boy Band is a one-time (well, perhaps two or three-time) collaboration between members from two very different local Brisbane bands, The Poachers and Tulca Mor, who decided they had time for a little side project. Some tunes, some songs, and then probably a few more tunes.

Andrew Heath plays guitar with The Poachers, and for Irish band Tulca Mor, as well as bass for The Redeemers and Amanda Gilmour.

Fred Graham has had a passion for performing Irish fiddle all his life. Trained at the conservatorium of music in jazz violin, he has pursued an interest in performing musical styles that involve improvisation and variation.

Kevin Higgins has played the concert wooden flute and Uilleann Pipes with a wide range of musicians around Australia, including the Queensland Pops Orchestra. He is currently teaching tin whistle and concert flute and performs with Tulca Mor.

Penny Boys, singer with The Poachers, is getting back in touch with some of the traditional songs that she cut her teeth on for all those years ago at the Irish session run by Shay Black in Berkeley California, only this time with backing from some exceptionally fine Irish musicians rather than on her lonesome.
