Name: Lil' Son Gregory
Brief Blurb: Based in Brisbane, Lil' Son Gregory is a solo guitarist and singer who has mastered the finger-picking styles of the 1920s and 30s country blues and ragtime guitar greats such as rev. Gary Davis, Mance Lipscomb, Tommy Johnson, Blind Willie McTell, and Mississippi John Hurt with a bit of hillbilly pickin’ thrown in. His music is acoustic based and performed on resonator or vintage acoustic guitars and delivers that distinctive "down home" sound so typical of the 1920s and 30s blues era. Lil’ Son has performed at many blues venues and festivals and was last seen at the BUg in September. He impressed us so much, we had to get him back again.
