Name: Unsung Heroes
Brief Blurb: Warning: out of date photo! The Unsung Heroes ensemble was born out of Sue Wighton’s successful Schonell Theatre concert (fill in a number) years ago. Some things change and some things stay the same. Sue’s still leading the song writing and vocals and Ian Dodd is still superbly joining in on mandolin and harmonies. Sue’s erstwhile fiddle players – Luke Moller and George Jackson – have gone on to find fame and fortune. Fiddler for this outing is the wonderful Hugh Curtis (he’s also famous and will no doubt dump Sue immediately post-gig). Stew Barry is one of Brisbane’s most sought after bass players. Sue is still surprised that he agreed to provide the heartbeat for this latest version of Unsung Heroes as they deliver their dynamic, folky, heartfelt tunes.
