Name: Maude Linn and the TearJerkers.
Brief Blurb: Maude Linn and the TearJerkers want to remind you not to leave your longings behind as the band continue their pursuit of covering BOTH styles of music - Sad AND Miserable.

So trawling through their collective musical influences of folk and soul, it was surprising that NO ONE was shocked to discover how heavily (but not entirely) they have leaned on the work of delightfully despondent, and brazenly brokenhearted musical poetry of maestro Neil Young - aka The 'Chancellor of Cheerlessness', the 'Marquis of Moody', the 'Duke of the Disconsolate.

No matter who it is they pay homage to - Gillian Welch, David Rawlings, Bruce Cockburn, Linda Ronstadt, Renee Geyer and even homegrown artists such as The Company and Bernard Fanning, it is clear that stunning melodies, indulgent harmonies and often persuading audiences to sing-a-long seem to be their M.O.

And it would be erroneous thinking if you thought that they simply employed the old '3 chords and the truth' principle. Maude Linn and The Tearjerkers have well-documented cases of 4 (or more) chords and some outright fibbing.

Enjoy the wonderful woebegone warblings and attempts at humour from this all-singing 6 piece multi-instrumental assemblage.
